Friends of Patterson Park is pleased to announce that we have received a $4,700 grant from the Austin Parks Foundation to update the picnic tables at our pavilion. The grant is part of a project to refresh the pavilion area, which is the central gathering place at our park. In addition to new picnic tables, the outdated trash bins will be replaced by the Austin Parks and Recreation Department, and FoPP will install a second bike rack. The installation of the new furnishings will take place this spring. Our pavilion will have a whole new look for all the celebrations held there in the future, and we are grateful for the support of our wonderful partners!
