The Patterson Pool is located in the heart of the park, between the pavilion and Pharr Tennis Center. It is 60 feet long with a minimum depth of 2 feet 9 inches and maximum depth of 4ft 11 inches. There is a circular baby pool and patio with pergola covering to the side. Friends of Patterson Park secured funding from HEB to install a shade over the baby pool in the 2000s. The neighborhood swim team, the Patterson Piranhas, practices at the pool during the summer and competes around the city.
