Our park offers lots of opportunities to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful weather and we ❤️ seeing so many people enjoying it. Let’s remember to keep the recommended six feet of social distancing to stay healthy during Austin’s stay-at-home orders. The playground and picnic areas are closed, but trails, open spaces, and the community garden are open so there are lots of ways to get your Vitamin N(ature). Take care of yourselves neighbors!

Another Great It’s My Park Day at Patterson Park
So grateful for an incredible group of volunteers at another great It’s My Park Day on Saturday, March 7! We had neighbors, part of the McCallum high school football team, and a team from OJO Home spread 20 yards of mulch, plant 40 plants in the community garden’s pollinator garden, and more! So thankful for their hard work taking care of our park, and to Austin Parks Foundation for organizing another incredible It’s My Park Day!
FOPP Raises $14,940 during Amplify Austin 2020
A team of Friends of Patterson Park worked together during the 2020 Amplify Austin campaign, and raised a total of $7,470. We had 65+ individual donors and sponsorships from seven neighborhood businesses and organizations. To top it all off, the Austin Parks Foundation generously matched our total raised 100%, so that we bringing home $14,940 to put toward future park improvement projects and community building events! We are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude at the outpouring of support!
A huge thanks to our Amplify Patterson sponsors Nature’s Treasures, Franklin Barbecue, Mueller Foundation, Jade Construction, Cherrywood Coffeehouse, Erin Tassoulas Design + Build and Cherrywood Neighborhood Association for pledging $2,750 to our campaign. We couldn’t have done this without you!
Amplify Patterson Campaign is TODAY!
WOW! Thanks to support from our neighbors and community sponsors, we have already raised over 90% of our $5,000 Amplify Patterson goal! Let’s see if we can make our stretch goal of $7,000 by 6 p.m., when Amplify Austin Day wraps up.
Your tax-deductible gift to Friends of Patterson Park will have TWICE the impact thanks to Austin Parks Foundation, who will match all Amplify Austin donations.
This is our most ambitious Amplify goal ever, and will help us work on big projects like repairs and additions to our athletic facilities. We want Patterson Park to be an even more welcoming destination for our East Austin neighbors to play, enjoy the outdoors, and get healthy physical activity.
Thank you for your support and generosity throughout the year! If you haven’t donated yet, please give what you can at http://bit.ly/AmplifyPatterson2020
