Luminarias Close out a Great Year at Patterson Park!

400 luminarias, 10 gallons of hot chocolate, many dozens of cookies – what a fun way to celebrate the end of a great year at the park! We also loved collecting everyone’s favorite memories of the park in 2022. Thanks to everyone who came out to Patterson Luminarias Celebrating FoPP’s 20th Anniversary on December 15, and especially to the volunteers who helped set everything up.

We are so grateful for this wonderful park community, for the Amplify Austin donors and sponsors who make events like this possible, and for the support of the Austin Parks and Recreation Department and Austin Parks Foundation. Wishing you all the best in 2023!

Join neighbors for a magical walk around Patterson Park to celebrate the holiday season this Thursday! The weather is expected to be perfect, and Friends of Patterson Park invites you out to enjoy hot chocolate at the small pavilion by the community garden on the east end of the park. Cookies are welcome if you are inspired to share, as is help setting up starting at 4pm. The more hands on deck, the more (battery-powered) luminarias we can light. Happy holidays everyone!

The 2017 Patterson Luminaries were a lot of fun and a great way to close out our 15th year! We were thrilled to celebrate the holiday season and our anniversary with so many neighbors, and are grateful for your support over the years. Here’s to a fantastic 2018!

Patterson Luminarias Return December 14

Join neighbors for a magical walk around Patterson Park to celebrate the holiday season and enjoy hot chocolate at the pavilion. Friends of Patterson Park will host the 3rd annual Patterson Luminarias on Thursday, December 14, 6-8 p.m. Cookies are welcome if you are inspired to share, as is help setting up starting at 5pm. The more hands on deck, the more (battery-powered) luminarias we can light. We love celebrating the holidays with neighbors and are thrilled to continue the luminaria tradition!

Patterson Park Luminarias Wednesday, January 11

Friends of Patterson Park will host the second annual Luminarias on Wednesday, January 11 from 6-8pm. Join neighbors for a magical walk around Patterson Park to celebrate the new year and enjoy hot chocolate at the pavilion. Cookies are welcome if you are inspired to share, as is help setting up starting at 5pm. (Please note this event was originally scheduled for Jan. 6 but postponed due to weather.)
