Little Free Libraries for Austin Build Day at Patterson Park, Saturday, Oct. 1

Friends of Patterson Park is happy to announce that our park will host a very special event this coming weekend.

Saturday, October 1, 9am-1pm
Little Libraries for Austin by LawnStarter – Build Day
Patterson Park, 4201 Brookview Rd, Austin, TX 78722
(across Airport Blvd. from Mueller)

For Be The Change National Day of Service, LawnStarter is organizing a Little Free Library build-a-palooza at Patterson Park! If you would like to host a Little Library at your home, school, park, or place of worship, please fill out the form here: www.littlelibrariesbylawnstarter.com

Little Free Libraries are shared neighborhood book-exchanges – you can take a book, give a book, or both. They are the perfect way to build our communities by promoting literacy and sharing between neighbors and friends. You can benefit hundreds of families with just one library by participating in painting, decorating, and building them!

The libraries are sponsored in part by LawnStarter, who is helping to build them and supply the books in order to get 500+ libraries setup this year. LawnStarter is a technology startup that is based in Austin and is now in 15 cities.
