Friends of Patterson Park hosted a National Night Out block party on Tuesday, October 5, and close to 100 neighbors came out to celebrate. Since it also happened to be National Taco Day, we had a taco potluck extravaganza.
The weather was perfect, the food was plentiful, VDR Melissa Waldon registered voters (the Texas deadline is October 11, FYI), and we had several visitors from law enforcement. We were so happy to have a constable and officer from Travis County’s Precinct 1 visit during the party, then Austin Police Chief Art Azevedo and finally firefighters from our very own Fire House #14 on Airport Blvd! The kids were thrilled, and it was a truly unforgettable evening. Many thanks to everyone who helped make our first National Night Out at the park a success!
GOOD YOB!
